Specialty Choirs
There are two auditioned specialty groups which perform jazz, pop, and other varieties of music.  Plano ISD requires that students are enrolled in a large choir in order to audition and perform in a specialty group.  Therefore, students must work their schedule to have two choirs per day.  Syncopation is a Mixed Ensemble, and Rhapsody is a Women's Ensemble.  Auditions are held in the spring of each year, and information is sent to the feeder campuses.
Choir for Honors Credit
The program also offers honors credit in all of the large choirs by participating in all of the choir activities and concerts with an additional three or four assignments per semester.  Those assignments include preparing for the contest experience (graded on preparation; not on selection to the Region choir); a research paper on a subject you are interested in pursuing, approved by the Directors; a written critique on a master-works choral concert; preparing a UIL solo for contest, among other interesting assignments involving choral music.
HONORS CHOIR
Involvement in Multiple Organizations
Students in choir are also enrolled in AP and honors classes, double blocked classes, football, basketball, tennis, yearbook, fashion, college classes, cheer and drill team.  They participate in all activities such as Student Congress, Theatre, Tech, Clinical Rotations, and others.
